BOOM: Building on our Momentum is a learning conference featuring a series of events centered on the experience of conversation and community engagement. Sessions are designed by members of the community for the entire community and will meet participants where they are in their learning and comfort in engaging in sessions on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Our diversity shines brightest when we bring our full selves together as one community. BOOM is a moment where we can come together as one community to think deeply and collectively about how we engage with each other.

Understand difference. Ask hard questions. Plan to act.

Impacts of Organizational Structure: Start-Up Tech Camp
Computer Science Major
Coding, robotics, game design, and scratch - these are some of the skills this panelist taught to local San Diego children aged 5-12 at a startup coding camp that aims to help students to learn and develop skills in coding as well as develop an interest in the field of computer science. With multiple previous teaching and mentorship experiences, this panelist will compare the difference of structure's impact at a startup, and how it affects conditions such as effective communication, teamwork, goal setting, teaching, and overall team morale while navigating a variety of power dynamics and roles.
