This workshop will offer college staff and faculty education, personal insight, and practical tools for engaging respectfully with the unique nuances of trans/gender diverse people. It will incorporate ways to understand and address experiences, concerns, and feedback from university students. Participants will be asked to assess their own biases through engaging in experiential exercises, opening the door to tools that may minimize the impact these biases have on trans/gender diverse people. Materials will also touch upon intersectionality and the effects of the current political landscape regarding equal rights for gender identity and sexuality. Facilitated by Oblio Stroyman, Collaborations Group.
