BOOM: Building on our Momentum is a learning conference featuring a series of events centered on the experience of conversation and community engagement. Sessions are designed by members of the community for the entire community and will meet participants where they are in their learning and comfort in engaging in sessions on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Our diversity shines brightest when we bring our full selves together as one community. BOOM is a moment where we can come together as one community to think deeply and collectively about how we engage with each other.

Individuality and Teamwork in Psychological Research
Psychology Major
This summer I completed an internship at the Keene State Affective Neuroscience lab. As a research assistant, I learned valuable skills that will serve me through the rest of my time as an undergraduate student and beyond. Along with the help of my research mentor and my fellow research assistants, I collected and analyzed data for a poster presentation at the NIH-INBRE annual conference. The work challenged me and made me think critically and independently, and I had to adapt to working in a new type of team environment. Working on all aspects of a research project as well as interacting with many established researchers and professors has solidified my interest in pursuing psychological research as my future career.
